Canton Uri has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, and our stay at this condo really proved it to us. We traveled by train to Brunnen, then by ship across the Lake of Lucerne (a 10 minute ride), then up the cog railway to seelisburg. The condo is just a few minute walk from there (which also serves the Postbus), in a nicely maintained building. Beautiful views from the balconies overlook the Lake far below, with more distant views of the mountains. I especially liked to see the wake trailing behind the Lake ships as they made their way South.
There's plenty of hiking destinations close by for those on foot, many more available to those taking the Postbus towards Lucerne. Our favorite hike was taking the cog rail to the Lake, then a ship south to Bauen, then returning on foot. Local cable cars were also easily accessible to increase the range of our hiking. It's also easy, and relaxing, to take a longer cruise on the Lake towards Lucerne.
The condo itself was great, comfortably appointed, with nicely equipped kitchen, clothes washer, and bathrooms. An elevator is available in the building. Beds were comfortable, the unit very clean.
I can't speak highly enough of the unit itself or the location and view. I plan on returning, hopefully many times.

We (a family of four and two grandparents) spent a wonderful week in Seelisberg in July 2022. The apartment is extremely well-equipped and has everything you'd possibly need. Check-in was very smooth thanks to Jill's instructions. We didn't have a car and traveled with public transport- the fact that the postal car stops right in front of the apartments is super convenient!
One of our favourite aspects of the apartment was the balcony with its stunning views over the lake and mountains. We spent every evening on the balcony, enjoying the warmth until late at night- or a thunderstorm on one night, which was spectacular! It was very hot when we were there but the kids still chose to sleep in the top room just under the roof. Jill had organised a little fan and it worked perfectly.
We did many excursions from Seelisberg: to Lucerne, to the small mountain lake very close-by, boat trips on the lake and there are also endless hiking options nearby. The kids loved playing tennis on the courts in front the apartment block once it was a little cooler towards the evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn't recommend this magical place highly enough.

Lieve Jill & familie,
Al zo vaak zijn wij door Zwitserland heen gereden en dit jaar hadden wij besloten om er eens te
verblijven. Wij hebben jullie appartement geboekt in het gezellige Seelisberg.
Voorafgaand ontvingen wij al een leuk filmpje om in de stemming te komen en ons alvast te
verwonderen over de schoonheid. Ook het document met alle informatie was fijn in de voorbereiding.
Alle instructies waren heel duidelijk dus de aankomst verliep soepel.
En toen was het thuiskomen! Jullie appartement is mooi, schoon en gezellig. En het uitzicht is adembenemend! Wij hebben gedurende ons verblijf van elke minuut genoten. De omgeving, de restaurants, de gelegenheden om te vertoeven bij het water, gewoon in het appartement wat van alle gemakken is voorzien, het fietsen en vooral zoals eerder gezegd schoonheid van Zwitserland.
Dank je wel voor alles. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug!
